An interview with Prasanda Chamincle

Catherine is interviewing a foreign named Prasanka Chamincla.

Catherine(will be shortened for C):I know your Chinese is very good,but since I’m an English major,I’ll talk with you in English.

Prasanka Chamincla(will be shortened for P)k,ok,no problem,you’re welcome!
C: which country do you come from? And how many years have you been here?

P: I’m from Sri lanka. I’ve been to China for about three years,hmm~~oh,three years and two months, yeah.
C: It’s not that long since you came here,but your Chinese is very good,I think you are excellent! And your major, please?

P: Oh, thank you!(smiling) I’m learning Tele-communication Engineering now.
C: I see~~ Ahm~~ what about your hobbies, such as some sports?

P: I like volleyball and badminton. My skill of playing volleyball is just so-so,but I play badminton very well.I also like basketball and football.

C: You say you like volleyball,badminton ,basketball and football,do you often take an active part in them? And do you like some of the stars?

P: I often play badminton and football.As to the stars,I like the badminton star Lin dan and the basketball star Yao ming very much.

C: Ok,thank you. I wonder that why you come to China for study,and how you choose Hunan university?

P: There’re two reasons.One is that my mum and my sister advised me to come here,the other is that my brother has already been in Japan,I don’t want to go to Japan,so I choose China.And the second question,I just searched the website and found hunan university.

C: Did you have trouble in communicating with others when you first came here?Have you ever felt lonely?And do you miss your parents and your hometown?

P: When I came here at first,I even didn’t know what people said,I felt lonely and yeah, surely I have been missing my parents and my hometown all the time.

C: But your Chinese is very good now,and I’m sure that you can get on well with others,and you feel less lonely now,don’t you?And next, I’ll ask you a private question~

P:Oh, do I have agirl friend , is that ?

C:Haha,you are so clever ,just this question.

P:Mm,I have a girl friend ,she has graduated from Hunan Uniwercity, I thing she is very beautiful , I love her .

C: May your love be forever ,bless you ! And the last question I want to ask you is that what do you think of Hunan?

P:Ahm ,how to say ,the people here are OK, some of them are friendly , the weather is good ,but not as good as Srilanka .Totoally speaking,I think Hunan is good .I like here .

C:OK. Thank you .It is a very nice talking with you ,Good bye !

P:Bye~

总体来说,要表扬下2位记者MM,做得还是相当不错的,英语除开有些中式英语和2处语法上的小错误外,很不错了,呵呵,加油
